There are two primary types of donation drives that you can run to help support Shared Harvest Foodbank.
Food Drive: collecting nonperishable food and household donations with the help of the community, your clients, your coworkers, etc. that you will bring to Shared Harvest so that we can distribute them to our neighbors that need additional support.
Fund Drive: working with the community, your clients, your coworkers, etc. to donate funds to Shared Harvest through an online campaign page. As a food bank, we typically have greater buying power than someone buying food from a grocery store. Can be run in conjunction with a food drive. Shared Harvest will supply you with a link to a donation page we set up for your organization and a QR code to help you advertise your fund drive.

Food Drives are an exciting and important part of our mission at Shared Harvest, and that means that we are willing to utilize some of our resources to help you have the best food drive you can. That being said, we cannot overstate how much it helps us if you are willing to assist us even further by providing your own packing materials and transport when possible.
Materials: We recommend that you keep your food donations in smaller sturdy cardboard boxes or even reusable shopping bags! We do have boxes or barrels available for use if you think you will need them. You can pick these up at the foodbank, or if you cannot make it to us, we can drop them off at your location. If this is the case, we do ask for flexibility on the dropoff date so we can ensure our daily commitments aren't interrupted.
Transport: We greatly appreciate when organizations are able to drop off a successful food drive to us at the foodbank, but we understand that isn't always possible. If needed, we can come pick up your food drive at your location, however we ask for flexibility on pickup dates so we can ensure our daily commitments aren't interrupted.
